In cooperation with our Fiber customers, and while listening to their needs and goals, our 3 new AI modules are being developed with the purpose of creating an even more seamless “Fiber to the Home” (FTTH) experience.
AI is now able to communicate with the Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and to recognize the pattern of the lights on the ONT device, concluding about the presence or quality of the internet connection.
The same goes for the Set Top Box (STB), also known as a cable box or receiver, whose lights will again communicate the possible connection issue to AI. Our AI assistant works with an optical power meter as well. It can check the signal level on the user’s ONT device and determine if it exceeds the reference value reject limit.
With these new capabilities – be it reading a serial or any static number, checking signal quality or power level – completely new modules are not only a possibility, but also a certainty.
